
The wonderful Kim Tillyer is running a workshop on Cyanotype at Linden Print Studio on Thursday 24 May.
Cyanotype was invented in 1824 by Sir John Herschel. This is the man, photographed by Julia Margaret Cameron:

Very quickly, botanist Anna Atkins started using the technique to record plants. She is often considered the first woman photographer.
