Update November-December 2024

Well, I can tell Autumn is here when I manage to pick 6 punnets of blackberries with my cousins in the wood. However, it’s not been all mistyfruitymellows – I’ve had a very busy August-September hence the tardiness of this mailing and I’ll keep it short and sweet.

Artist’s Development Course, Jan- March 2025

I’m very excited to announce that we have a new tutor for the much-loved Artist’s Development Course. Laura is an experienced artist and part of Art Crit North Cumbria. I’ve chosen to work with her because of her empathy, her excellent questioning skills and her insights into supporting artists at any stage of their career.

Here’s a bit about the course in Laura’s own words:

The Artist’s Development course will help you to delve into the relationship you have with your creative practice, in a way that will allow you to expand your thinking and the possibilities you see for yourself and your work. The course will help you challenge your own expectations of your practice so that you can become more experimental, engaged and expressive with your work.

And if you’ve done the Artist’s Development course in the past and want a refresh and a new perspective, then you might want to consider signing up as well. There’s only 6 places, we run it just once a year and it tends to book up quickly. Flyer attached and booking link here.

Wood Engraving with Chris Daunt, 21-22 September 2024

There are 3 places left on Chris Daunt’s wood engraving course.

Best wishes and may your Autumn glow,

Vega
